đź’ˇ Welcome to the Behavioral Intervention Transparency Project

We believe true informed consent means knowing more than just the name of a behavioral intervention—it means understanding the how, why, and what could go wrong.

This site was created to help individuals, families, and professionals learn what behavioral interventions actually involve—not just how they’re marketed.

🧠 Who Made This?

This project was created by a neurodivergent licensed behavior analyst with 25+ years of clinical experience in providing behavioral support to individuals with various needs around the world.

They spent years teaching strategies they were taught not to question—until they heard and listened to how the people being “supported” were experiencing the “support.”

This site is part of making amends and preventing further harm in this field. We need better intentions, more transparency, and true consent.

đź’¬ We Want Your Voice Here

Are we missing something? Do you have experience with an intervention we haven’t covered yet?

➡️ Please reach out. This site is evolving; lived experience, questions, and insights are welcomed here, and that includes people currently needing or experiencing treatment, caregivers, providers, and other professionals. The use of these interventions impacts everyone involved.

A feedback form is included at the bottom of each page so feedback can be provided easily.
